Staedtler Triplus Rollerball Pens 0.3mm Fine Point - 4 Pack (403SB4) | Smooth Writing for Office, School & Art Projects | Perfect for Note Taking, Journaling & Creative Drawing

I was super excited about these pens and they do seem to write smoothly - I like them a lot more than the Triplus Fineliner.... however, one of them leaked all while in a pencil case-ruined the case and damaged an expensive bag with an ink stain. Undecided if i will purchase these again.I wanted to try Staedtler because of their consistently high ratings and recommendations from friends. However, they're not nearly as fine as you'd expect. For a 0.4 mm pen, I was expecting them to be reasonably similar to the Pilot-G2 0.38 mm pens. Unfortunately these pens bleed rather heavily, looking more like a 1 mm pen. Although there is no claim that these are "fine" or "thin" writing, the 0.4 mm labeling is not a good indicator of the pen's line weight.With that said, they are still excellent writing utensils. The colors are vibrant (red a little less than the other three), and the triangle shape feels comfortable in hand.I had really high hopes for these pens. I love pens from Germany, they typically are of higher quality and they have a more bold tip. I would pretty much write with a marker if I could. I was a little disappointed in these, the ink doesn't flow well unless the pen is held at an angle. This is just not conducive to my writing style and I rarely use the pens now.It writes smooth but it’s not as fine as you would think. Also, the blue pen started out real thin and then got “fat” like the other pens. Disappointing.They do not write well.I love Staedler's other two pen types (the triplus fineliners and the ballpoints), but these are difficult to use. The ink does not flow evenly AT ALL.The pins are find plant they write amazing and they never dry out this is a great plus.
