Pigment-rich, waterproof, and lightfast – what’s not to love?
Each bottle holds 50ml of this lovely ink, enough to keep you going for reams of writing, drawing, or doodling. All Tom's Studio's inks are water-based, acid-free, non-toxic, and vegan-friendly. Each ink comes beautifully presented in a stunning bottle with an antique laid paper, gold-foiled label.
Good to Know: Pigment Black dries a matte charcoal black. It's worth waiting a couple of hours before applying washes over the top of the ink to be sure that it is completely dry.
Be sure to cap your pen when not in use. Please do not store your fountain pen for long periods of time with this ink, as it may clog the feed. We recommend rinsing your tips out weekly.
Even when capped, ink can evaporate from the tip leaving it a little dry. If this happens just dip in a little water and scribble until you see the ink flowing again.
Because the ink has such a concentrated color, you can dilute it with a smidge of water (ideally distilled) to create watercolor-like washes and depth of color.
