This is the second Lamy pen I own, the first being a charcoal black Lamy Safari with a fine nib. I take them with me everyday. Here's why:Pros-Smooth nib. Never skips, never stops, even for an EF.-Sturdy aluminum construction, feels a bit nicer than my moulded plastic Lamy Safari-The clip is sweet. Nice and springy.-Ink window so you don't have to keep opening the pen to check if you're low on ink-Transparent grip section looks sweet, you can see the ink percolate through to the nib-Pen snaps open/closed securely so you can easily take it out for some notes without fussing with a threaded cap-Posts securely for those among us who can palm a basketball (not I)-Comes with one free cartridge of Lamy Blue ink to get you writing-Cartridge or converter snaps into place securely so I never worry about ink leaking inside the pen-Personal point: pen is light and makes for effortless writing, about the same weight as my Lamy Safari-Personal point: shaped grip section is super comfy for the way I hold a pen-The color is sweet and all the biddies be like, oOoOoOh let me hold your penCons-It's not free D:-Does not come with a converter. You will need to get one separately (Lamy Z24 converter)-Does not take international standard converters or cartridges, so you're stuck with Lamy proprietary products-Because the grip section is shaped, you can really only hold this pen in a certain way-The color is sweet and all the biddies might make off with your penI currently have a converter in mine, inked with J. Herbin Rose Cyclamen (to match the pen color). Writes well on all paper types.
